Blog assignment 9

In today’s world I believe the ideology of global warming is a big part of branding. More and more companies and countries are incorporating the idea of how they are helping the environment and playing on the idea of how they are “green”. Companies such as Green cabs are showing everyone that they care about the environment so they use cars that aren’t as harmful as other taxis. The cabs use less petrol and have bigger batteries so that the car doesn’t inject pollution into the atmosphere. This makes consumers want to take their cabs because it makes them feel like they have done something to help the environment when they really done much at all. Green cabs rely on their “green” images to fuel their business. New Zealand is also a country that relies on the image of how our country looks environmentally friendly which attracts tourists. We show other countries our massive mountains, streams and farmlands to show that we are green country and that we care about the environment. The ideology of global warming is a big part of the design of the green cabs. Their logos on their cars and their logo all thrive of the idea that they are green. Even the name shows what they are all bout. I think that the ideology of global warming in the design world will be a very big industry in the future and will continue to grow considering every day we are polluting our world.
